According to the New York Times as of March 11th 2020 there are 1,107 cases.
As opposed to Hearing Loss:
According to the Center for Hearing and Communications there are 48 MILLION Americans with hearing loss!
This means 1 out of 3 people over the age of 18 have some degree of hearing loss.
There are 50 million Americans that also struggle with Tinnitus.
There are also 3 million children with hearing loss in the United States. You can tell when a child has hearing loss when they aren't engaged and delayed speech as well.
