Here is how to insert different hearing aids into
your ear. I'm going to show you the following styles:
BTE (Behind the ear): This device comes with a
custom earmold and that is what you put in first. Also, make sure
to not pull on the tubbing.
Receiver in the canal: Instead of a custom earmold
(like the BTE) this model comes with an ear dome and that is what
you insert in first.
Custom ITE (In the ear); This one you put in the
canal part first then the helix part second.
ITC (In the canal model): This model is one of the
easiest because they are custom and can slide right into your
ear.
CIC (Completely in the canal): These come with a
removal string to pull out easier. You can also use that string to
insert the device. Open your ear and simply add inside.
IIC (Invisible in the canal): This one can also
slide right into place and is the most discrete hearing aid!
