Genetic hearing loss affects 1 out of 1000 babies being born
each year. Although that's less than 1% of the time, it shows that
genes DO have an effect on hearing loss. With our genes
possibly affecting our family, many wonder what steps they could

Chris Medina is the Hearing Aid Specialist at Virtue Hearing Aid
Center. As a second-generation hearing aid specialist, he’s been
working in the hearing aid world since he was 18, when his uncle
invited him to apprentice at the family practice. Chris loved that
he could combine his interest in technology with a desire to help
people. Chris has seen what a difference hearing aids have made in
his own family, and he’s eager to give other families that same
experience.
